try this one it is Bourbon BBQ Sauce .
    you will need
    ¼ cup butter
¼ cup oil, preferably canola or corn
    2 medium onions, minced
    ¾ cup Evan Williams Bourbon
    2/3 cup ketchup
    ½ cup cider vinegar
    ½ cup fresh orange juice
    ½ cup pure maple syrup
    1/3 cup unsulphured dark molasses
    2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    ½ tsp. fresh-ground black pepper
    ½ tsp. salt
In a saucepan, melt the butter with the oil over medium heat. Add the onions and saute for about 5 minutes or until they begin to turn golden. Mix in the remaining ingredients, reduce heat to low, and cook the mixture until it thickens, approximately 40 minutes. Stir frequently.

Serve the sauce warm. It keeps, refrigerated, for a couple of weeks.
use the $20 you saved to buy more Evan Williams Bourbon.

Took this one from Emeril and I love it. It’s the only sauce I use. I replaced the dried crushed red pepper flakes with cayenne pepper so it doesn’t clog the bottle and gives it a little more kick. Fantastic on pork.

    Barbecue Sauce:
    1 cup apple cider vinegar
    1 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
    1 tablespoon yellow mustard
    1 tablespoon molasses
    1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper

In a bowl, combine all the ingredients and whisk well to dissolve the sugar. Place in a squeeze bottle.

I live in Savannah, GA which is near South Carolina where the vinegar based barbecue sauce is popular. When preparing pulled pork, a lot of restaurants just use vinegar, salt, and cayenne pepper. Just sprinkle it on some pulled pork and toss it all together. Here’s a recipe…

    Ingredients:
    1 cup distilled white vinegar
    1 cup cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon hot red pepper flakes
Salt and ground pepper to taste

    Directions:
Mix all ingredients, including salt and pepper, to taste, in medium bowl.
