thicken the barbeque sauce?


I make my own barbecue sauce (recipe to follow) but I want to make a thick sauce. Sent recipe a bit caldoso.la basic: 1 cup sauce cup hull 1 TBL spoon tomate1 sidraa Apple vinegar then only with other flavors and what else should I add to this is the result of a thick sauce ? In addition, all suggestions would be appreciated on flavorings

    add corn starch into cold water and keep stirring…… add it to the sauce right before the finishing phase of your sauce

    Tomato paste would be a great way to thicken it, especially since you already have tomato ketchup.

    For extra seasoning, try a combination of ground cumin, dry mustard, a little cayenne, paprika or smoked paprika.

    You need some tomato paste & I like dried mustard powder.

    you need one of the following:

    brown sugar

    molasses

    (blended/mashed/puree’d) peppers & tomatoes

    cornmeal/flour

    finely chopped herbs (really fine)

    any one of those added to a runny sauce will thicken it up

    put in a pot on the stove and cook it down untill it starts to reduce… that will make it thicker
