Just wondering if I make a vegetarian ambiente.Ya barbecue sauce is not made of flesh, except for a few more homemade. I was wondering about this particular brand.

   Ingredients:high fructose corn syrup, vinegar, tomato paste, modified food starch, salt, pineapple juice concentrate, natural smoke flavor, spices, caramel, sodium benzoate as a preservative, molasses, corn syrup, garlic, sugar, tamarind, natural flavor

   garlic
   sugar

   It’s hard to tell with “natural flavor” as an ingredient. That can be just about anything. They call it that so as not to give away a “secret” ingredient to the competition.

   I’d be suspicious of anything that says “natural flavor”…it could contain tiny one-celled animals.
